Rapid Development

AI has changed the game. Features that used to take months can now be planned, built, and live in a week. Sprints that were weekly or bi-weekly are now a single day.

You get more done in less time—without sacrificing quality.

The Sprint Model

I work in focused sprints—concentrated blocks of development on a bundle of features or changes you've defined.

Focused Blocks

Sprints are typically 3-10 hour blocks of concentrated work. Tasks are batched together by client, so you get more done in less time.

Laser Focus

Scope is locked before we start. You get my undivided attention—no context switching, no distractions.

Monthly Invoice

All development work is invoiced monthly alongside your hosting. One simple bill with an itemised breakdown.

Small Changes & Support

Not everything needs a full sprint. Here's how ongoing maintenance and support works.

Submit Request

Log bugs, changes, or feature ideas through the client portal. Everything goes into the queue.

Queue & Prioritise

Requests accumulate. AI helps triage and prioritise. You can see your queue and reorder before work begins.

Batch Sprint

When ready, all queued items are worked together in a single focused sprint. Efficient for everyone.

All Changes Billed at Standard Rate

Changes and features are billed at $250/hr ex GST with a 30 minute minimum per batch. Requests queue up and are worked together for efficiency.

Why batch requests?

AI makes development fast, but there's overhead to every task—context switching, deployment, verification. When you batch related changes together, that overhead is shared across all of them.

The 30 minute minimum applies to the batch, not each individual task. Submit three small changes together and they share that minimum. It's more efficient for both of us—you get better value, I get focused work blocks.

The Process

1

Onboarding

Before any development can happen, we need to understand each other. Your first two consultations are free—we'll discuss your business, goals, and what you're trying to build.

Discovery (Free)

  • Understanding your business and goals
  • Reviewing existing systems and processes
  • Identifying the real problems to solve
  • Discussing constraints and priorities

Foundation Setup (Billed)

  • Technical environment setup
  • Access and credentials organised
  • Documentation of existing systems
  • AI tooling configured for your stack

Why this matters: Without solid foundations, AI-assisted development is inefficient. The setup work is billed as development time, but it pays off in speed and quality.

2

Tell Me What You Need

Submit your ideas, changes, problems, or anything else through your client portal. You don't need to write technical specs—just tell me what you're thinking in your own words. I'll ask questions if I need more detail.

Things you might submit

  • A new feature you want built
  • Something that's not working right
  • A rough idea you'd like to explore
  • Changes to how something looks or works

How it works

  • Submit through your client portal anytime
  • Attach screenshots, files, or links
  • I'll review and follow up with questions
  • Nothing gets lost or forgotten
3

I Scope, You Approve

I take what you've submitted and break it down into clear, concrete tasks. You review them in your portal and approve what you want built—or push back if something isn't right. Nothing gets worked on until you've signed off.

You stay in control

  • • Approve individual tasks or all at once
  • • Request changes if the scope isn't right
  • • See exactly what will be built before it starts

Then I schedule it

  • • Approved tasks get queued for the next sprint
  • • I'll estimate the time and schedule a date
  • • Related tasks get bundled together for efficiency
4

I Build It

Your approved tasks get worked through in a focused sprint. The scope is locked—no changes or additions mid-sprint. This is how AI-assisted development stays fast and efficient.

What happens

  • • Focused development on your tasks
  • • AI-assisted coding for speed
  • • Testing as I build
  • • Deployed to a staging preview for you

What doesn't happen

  • • No scope changes mid-sprint
  • • No "quick additions"
  • • No feedback loops during execution
  • • No context switching
5

You Review, We Go Live

Everything gets deployed to a staging preview first. You test it, approve what's good, and flag anything that needs rework. Once you're happy, it goes live on production.

Staging review

  • Test every change on a live preview
  • Approve or reject each task individually
  • Rejected tasks go back for rework
  • Nothing goes live without your sign-off

Ongoing management

  • Full code ownership (your code, always)
  • Australian cloud hosting
  • Proactive monitoring & maintenance
  • One person who actually knows your system

The relationship continues: Most clients stay on for ongoing management. When you need more changes or new features, submit them through your portal and we repeat the cycle. I already know your system inside-out.

Build + Manage

Every site I build goes onto my managed hosting. You get a website that works, hosted on infrastructure I control, maintained by someone who actually understands what's running.

Scheduling & Capacity

Response Times

I work flexible hours across the day. Response to messages is usually quick (unless I'm asleep), but sprint scheduling depends on my current capacity—first in, first served.

Sprint Scheduling

Once we've planned a sprint and you've provided everything I need, I'll schedule it based on availability. Client work takes priority over my side projects.

Priority Order

Sprints are scheduled in the order they're ready—scope defined, assets provided, questions answered. Priority tier clients get bumped to the front of the queue.

Frequently Asked

All development work is invoiced monthly alongside your hosting—one bill with an itemised breakdown. All prices are ex GST, with GST (10%) applied from 1st July 2026. There's a 30 minute minimum ($125 ex GST) per batch, so submitting multiple small changes together gives you better value than separate requests.

Scope is locked during the sprint so I can maintain focus and speed. Sprints are short—if priorities shift, we adjust in the next one. The preview phase after each sprint is specifically for reviewing what's done and deciding what to tackle next.

That's what the planning phase is for. You tell me what you want, I'll tell you how long I think it'll take and whether it fits in one sprint. If it's too big, we'll break it into prioritised chunks. No surprises.

I use AI coding tools to dramatically speed up development—think 5-10x faster than traditional coding. The AI handles the repetitive parts while I focus on architecture, problem-solving, and making sure everything works correctly. You get more done in less time.

Everything goes to a staging preview before it goes live. You review each change and approve or reject it individually—nothing hits production without your sign-off. If something isn't right, it goes back for rework. The process is designed so you're never surprised.
